A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I recently purchased an '85 gs700es, and I have been scanning the internet looking for parts to spruce it up a bit. Specifically, I'v been trying to find a 4-2-1 exhaust that would fit on it, unfortunately I have yet to find any information. If anyone could help me out, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,
Bill

searching too.

searching too.

I am in the searchmyself for the same thing. I have found an model number for a Vance and Hines 12001K. but it's not listed on their site. I think they may have discontinued it.

A lot of aftermarket items for the 83/85 GS 750/700 E and ES bikes are no longer available. V+H no longer makes a pipe for this bike. I have the same problem as my 15 year old V+H Supersport pipe is worn out and needs replacing. I have been told that the Yoshimura pipe for an early 90's GSXR 750 pipe will fit with very minor adjustments. Billy Ricks has this setup and can probably elaborate more. Good luck, Ed.

I was kinda wondering the same thing sorta. I know someone that has a V & H 4-2-1 for a 92 gsx1000 and was wondering if that would fit on a gs850.

A post by "Guy" up the list in this forum states he is using a Bandit 1200 exhaust on his 850. So, that should answer your question. A few of us have tried successfully and found parts from other models that work on our old GS's.
