A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Are ALL the connections made inside the headlight bucket ?

Most of the electrical system layout is shown in the factory manual

Not all of the connections are made in the bucket, but most of them are. Which connector are you trying to find? I'm currently breaking down an 81, so I could most likely spot it easily on this frame.

There seems to be a whole lot of loom, just wondering if the rt & lt controls are connected OUTSIDE the bucket. Any pictures showing where the grounds are bolted would be a great help as well.
posplayr, your manuals must be way better than mine, I have the wiring digram, but that doesn't show where stuff fixes to the bike & the routing digram, which is some help, but not great.

so you are saying that the information is not in the factory manual?

Well, this manual, printed by suzuki in Japan in March '81 PN: 99000-85700-OE3, has 335 pages in 10 sections, but it doesn't have a page 49, the wiring routing diagram is OK as far as it goes, but doesn't tell me everything, that is why I ask questions. I always look at the book before asking, or use the search option, on this forum, but haven't had much luck with that feature.
Thanks anyhow.

Sorry for the short comings of your manual. The manual I looked at is avaliable for free download form bad lifts sight. Do you have an internet connection?

The "page 49" to which he refers is page 333 of 335 in the manual that was also linked. I just looked, apparently it is page 49 of the supplement for the '82 650G.

Since you have just the basic manual, look on page 10-30. When your internet connection comes back up, feel free to download the manual from BassCliff's site, you will get the supplement, as well.
