I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

45 mile fun ride today

(fun except for the couple miles of 45-mph twisties where I was following a Corvette Stingray going 35)

Counting other bikes with and without helmets (optional in PA)

12 without
15 with

At one point it was 9 without and 3 with.

I didn't include myself (with).

oh and I did get a bikerhandwave from a cage, and another from a pedestrian.

Im like a kid named Corky, I wave at everyone riding. Hell I throw a hand to the Scooter riders here. Its funny, the Hardcore riders, try not to look when they see a non waveable bike coming. So just to be an ass, I get all tarded and wave like I got jelly in my pockets. YYYEAAAAHHHHHHHH.:D Theyve started waving back.

I've been tempted to do the bhw from my cage (when I'm stuck in it), but I never have. Maybe I'll try it some day, see if I can blow some minds :p

My 75 mile ride Sunday had a 100% success rate on the wave, and even most pillions waved back. I stopped for a drink at a 7/11, and some jailbait on the back of her boyfriends scooter gave me a nice smile and wave.

It was mostly no helmets around here, I saw probably ~25 bikes: 3 full facers (2 of which were pillions whose driver had nothing), and maybe 7 or 8 half or 3/4 helmets. I personally was rocking my modular helmet, with tinted shield to keep from getting a weird face sunburn :D

It's a lot of fun being on a motorcycle :D

At least you had a nice can to look at.

Next time on that road, I'm sure you'll pull over before the twists and wait to pick your moment.

Missouri has a helmet law. At least for now. The Missouri State Legislature passed a no helmet required except for interstates. Gov has yet to sign or
veto.

They really are trying to kill us off (cagers that is).:D

Ohio doesn't have a helmet law, except for one that requires you and your passenger to wear a helmet for one year after getting your license endorsement. It's funny, they stamp "mc novice until xxxx" in red on your license and I've heard that some cops misunderstand the law and think that these 1st year license holders are under the same restrictions as permit holders.

I wear a helmet, but it is a 3/4 one with the pull down face shield. I tried on some full helmets, I'd like the chin protection, but I just feel really uncomfortable in them, it's like it really restricts your view. I'm hoping mine will be good enough in a crash.

This is so funny - Ohio just passed a helmet law for riding a bicycle if you are under 18. I would be very upset right now if I were 15 again. When I was this age, in the early 90's not one kid ever wore a helmet on a bicycle.

I got one, and it was from a cop! Took me by surprise....I'm thinking he either rides, or was just in a pretty good mood that day.:-s

Tony.

'round here it's a small town, most of the cops wave. a couple assume i was just speeding or something, given the look on their faces, though :D

Helmet law in effect here in Maryland. I have a friend who seems to really object to wearing anything on his head except for his hair. As a new rider, I never had the opportunity to become accustomed to being helmet-less. So, I took advantage of this and went full face for maximum safety. Regarding waves, I have had nearly a 100% success rate in my neck of the woods. Friendly cyclists are good!
