Hey everyone, My 82 GS300L Failed to start yesterday, slow cranked about twice then dead batt. Checked the battery and it was dry as a bone. I know it was full about 3 weeks ago. I assumed it boiled all the water out. Following advice from a freind I checked the voltage of the batt. (after refill of water) with the engine running. At normall idle it was about 14.1 V, reved up a bit(no TACH) it was around 14.8V But the longer it ran the higher the voltage got, after about 10 minutes it was reading about 15.7V idle and 16.6V at higher rpms. And i could see the batt. starting to bubble so I shut it off. What is the standard Volts to the battery? And What could be causing my over voltage, regulator/rectifier? Any help is greatly appreciated, I am very new to motorcycles and have limited knowledge on them.
