A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Toyota Barcelona Red Metallic,I would like some help with the white.Would like the door code or colour name of a metallic /pearl white I can get in Dupli-color cans.
Thanks.

Wow Greg, that red is gorgeous, she is going to be a looker for sure when you are done with her.:D

You're just painting it that way so your leathers match, now tell the truth. That's the kind of things posers do. You ain't one of those girlie-men now are you Mr Sooke? :)

I'm not usually a fan of red but I'm coming around 'specially with that one. looking forward to it.

cheers,
Spyug

It was the red that "jumped out" on the Canadian Tire paint shelf.Even the wife likes it,as a matter of fact I dismissed it as I didn't want a metallic red. Then I seen it on a car,SOLD!Now I need to find a metallic white to kind of shimmer with it.
Please.

Greg, some of the Suzuki cars come in a nice pearl white, at least they do on this side of the pond, maybe do a bit of research in that direction.

Don't have rattle cans in Suzuki car colours here so that's out.The 07 SV650S can in that kind of colour here in Canada to.Hope I get an answer but I'm begining to suspect it can't be duplicated in spray cans:(

Have you been to an automotive paint supplier? They can dig up any colour out there from their charts and can match anything you bring in. On one of my earlier Yammie projects I wanted a particular blue to match my jacket ( and I was calling you a posser :)). I brought the jacket in, they scanned it and mixed me up a batch of paint. It wasn't 100% identical but it was close enough for govm't work :)

If you drop in at the local Toyota dealer you may be able to get a brochure with a paint sample. I think you can also get some touch up paint from their parts department if I'm not mistaken. Its usually like the wife's nail polish for doing stone chips but it would be enough for a colour match . Trot that in to the auto paint guys and I'm sure they can whip you up something.

As far as spray bombs, a lot of the paint guys can now do a custom blend and package it in a spray can for you too. Ask around.

Good luck.

If you get the paint code from Toyota your local Napa auto parts can mix it up and even put it in a rattle can if you wish.

But I'm lazy and want an off the shelf solution. The red Toyota colour is on the Canadian tire paint shelf.Hoping someone knows of a Dupli-color paint I can buy at the same time.If I can't get an aswer I will do it in GM Arctic White.

As I could get the white today I got the GM Arctic White, just did a test. It's a plain white, sure it will look good with the red anyway.Off to prep bodywork.
