A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

 Man I need help tonight and quick:cry:

Go out to the garage to hook up my auxillary tank w/fresh gas.
Turn the key on all the lights work........nice
Fresh oil in the motor,top-end and pistons.
Exhaust on with new gaskets.
Carbs on and tight.
I remember there being a vacuum line on the carbs from before but the carbs have been off the bike the longest and were the first thing I rebuilt.
New o-rings and the return to the stock jet size.
I put the vacuum line here in between #1 and #2 carbs.

This is the right place to put the hose???
As soon as I started her, with the choke on she turned twice and would not turn again.
Went right into stat mode and started looking.
I have raw gas in #2 cylinder. Only as much as the bore would hold.
None of the other 3. All dry.

My concern is....
What do I do after I remove the fuel from the cylinder???
How much trouble am I in????
As most of you know I just finished up doing the top-end.....
Do I have to do that again????
I just sold my GT-250 2 weeks ago and now summer is here.......
Any ideas,suggestions,thoughts,prayers are welcome[-o<

The arrow is pointing to the gas line. The vacuum line is part #84.

The gas line is 5/16 (8mm) and the vacuum line is 1/4 (6mm).

thanks.
that explains why gas ran into 2 at least.....
now what.

Thanks for the quick response

The arrow is pointing to a vent 'T'. There will be another between #3 & #4.

The fuel tap is in the center, between #2 and #3.

I thought the tap was where it is.
So where is the vacuum.. and what would blocking the vent do????

The vacuum tap is a little brass (copper?) tap at the front of carb #2. It connects to your petcock.

Blocking the vent would screw up fuel flow, much like the vent stack for home plumbing. The vent allows atmospheric pressure in the fuel bowl. Just hook a line to it and let it hang down beneath the bike (which is how they came, of course).

#76 is the connection for fuel from the petcock. #84 is the petcock vacuum line. The rest are float bowl vents.

thanks guys for all the help. The news could be good[-o< [-o<
Will turning over the motor even before she had ever fired be bad as in not pumping oil???
I have the oil in the pan,top-end and in the bore.
Do I have to put a little oil in the #2???

check your oil , some of that gas from the cylinder that filled up my have leaked down into the oil pan

You can remove all the spark plugs and spin the engine with the starter to clear out any gas in the top of the cylinder. *take the plugs out of the plug boots though. You dont want to risk a spark with gas mist. :-) Put an old towel over the head to keep spray from getting on everything. It will not hurt anything to spin it over like that to clear it. As long as you've oiled the cam lobes, got oil in the crankcase, you dont have anyhing to worry about. I would do as Skip suggested and check the crankcase for gas smell to see if any got in there. A small amount wil just boil off, but if it smells strong, I would change the oil just to make myself feel better. :-)
