A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have a 1986 GSX750esd and do you think i can get a Rack for it?they seem to be rarer than Rocking Horse Shit,it`s already got the standard grab handle but as i intend to visit a few Rally`s/Show`s this year i need somewhere to put my kit,can anyone help?cheers,Ade.

Hello,

Luckily you have a GS. :D
You can pretty much fit any sissybar that is made onto these bikes.
I have one from a kawasaki old school kz1000 chopper on my bike. I had to put extension straps on the front to bolt it to the shock mounts but it works like a charm and looks great to me.

Thanks BUT........

Thanks BUT........

Thanks for the reply but mine has a single shock it says Full Floater on the bodywork, the GS range in the UK was superceeded by the GSX`s,a friend of mine has got a rack off a GS550 and it goes nowhere near it,to narrow and the mounting arms are too long,ah well keep trying, theres got to be one out there somewhere.

Be very very careful about using Straightline Racing, there are numerous stories abounding of payments made and goods not received and other nightmares. If you have to use them then, if possible, visit them in person to make sure that they have the right part in stock and its useable.

Straightline Racing were ripping people off 18 years ago, and still are.
It amazes me that they are still in business.
Apparently the company is now run by Nick Pepper, who went to the wall years ago, taking a lot of people for a lot of money. BUT he could afford to run a pro-stock drag-bike!
Be VERY careful.

Can you use a Krauser set up?
GS7.11 is selling a full set on ebay now.

Have you tried your Suzuki dealer?

I got a new Suzuki rack for my GS750 from Slingers in Preston - 01772 729530

I bought off Straightline about a year ago,an original Chainguard and had no problems but will be cautious, thanks for the replys and info, cheers.

Thanks for the warnings on Straightline. I have not yet used them and will be careful if I do. There is a company called Crooks Suzuki. They advertise in the MCN. I have used them for parts, they are not cheap but they are very good.

Not without some modifications.
