A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I am not sure it matters? But there are obvious differences in main jet nozzle. I am thinking the 4 valve uses the shrouded on and the 2 valve the unshrouded. The slide & needle in the shrouded doesn't go in as far as the unshrouded? I need to put my 1100L carbs back together but I can't remember which ones came out of it?

Yes, it matters.

Clean them up, look at the numbers engraved on the sides, compare them with what is supposed to be in the carbs and install the correct ones. Just looking at the picture, there are different numbers of holes in the jet and they are different sizes. They will definitely mix different amounts of gas, so look it up, use the correct one.

Trying to see numbers?

Trying to see numbers?

What is my resource for the application of these? I see numbers but I will have to get a magnifying glass to read them.

I'm curious, you have 10 "old" bikes in your stable (and one 2005) & you want to know if different main jet nozzles are an issue? I would think you know carbs inside & out by now...

Who is doing the the maintenance on these bikes?

The one with the shroud is for the 1100.
You asked this question in another thread and I didn't respond because you called it a main jet. That is a needle jet.

OK...Cool

OK...Cool

Needle jet..cool. I assume the shrouded needle jet will fit either the 750 4 valve or the 1100 4 valve carb with the only difference being the jet size.

I am on a crash course here for mechanic'n the Suzuki's. I am learning quick and retaining alot.

My stable includes quite a few different bikes..only because I scrounge them up for next to nothing. What keeps me going is the "resurrection" of the old classics. I am not particularly stuck on the "GS" but I am leaning that way..........

Thanks for the help...fella's and gals

Yeah, and I am particularly intrigued by the "big, heavy" one in the middle. :D

Newbee, let me know when you have questions on that KZ13. I had a '79 that I enjoyed for a while. :-\\\
