A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Here's an interesting one

Anyone know if I can take the tank off my bike and turn it upside down to replace the petcock gasket without all the fuel leaking out? Or do I need to drain the tank first. I know- can I stand it up with about a half a tank and take the petcock off?

Sure ya can, just be careful to not tip it too far, as gas will run out the filler cap, don't do it by candlelight!!! You may just want to get a bucket and switch petcock to prime and drain the gas to avoid the hassle of trying to balance the tank with the gas in it though, makes life easier

Holy f#@k, can't we just all get along? Except for the Harley owners. Oh, and the Iraqis. Oh, yeah, and circus folk. I hate those circus people. And the bitches at the DMV, why do they have to be so nasty? Jeezus man, love your brother...

A couple of weeks back when Daves wife was in florida taking care of her sick mom, i called her on the phone. I dont remember how it came about but i called Dave her wacko husband. Dave has been punishing me ever since as i see it. I like and have a lot of respect for Dave. Even if he is a %$#$%$#

Ah, so it's a case of mutual name calling all in good fun. Right-o my good freinds! All is tickety-boo! I do hate me a circus folk something fierce though...

What I did

What I did

I have a wood work bench in the garage.. so I tacked a small piece of wood on the bench... about 6 or 7" from the back of the bench to keep the tank from slipping forward. Turned the tank on it's side with the valve facing me, and in the up position. Then rested it on the back of the bench. No leak's, and I had over half a tank.

Hope this helps.

Nice. This should be quick and easy then. I like this method the best.
