A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

High-flow air filters for the stock airbox, where?

Hi there, does anyone know of any high-flow air filters that will mount in the standard filter location on my bike? My bike has a 4-1 exhaust that I haven't been able to identify yet and I know it has beefier jets than stock, although not HOW much beefier.

At the moment I'm using a (new this season) stock air filter. I've had problems with plugs fouling due to a too rich mixture, and I would prefer if I could help this situation with more air rather than fiddling with the carbs. It doesn't run overly rich to the point where it is a problem, I just think that the bike would really appreciate a little more air.

So far the only options I've seen are individual pod filters, and the slopoke way with one huge pod fitted to the circulation chamber. What I want is a high-flow filter that I can put in instead of the stock filter. Does such a thing exist ? :?:

K&N does and I have one somewhere in the garage. The main problem usually is the small standard opening in the standard airbox, IF you have freeded up the engine/exhaust side of the engine

Doesnt K&N make one that is an exact replacement

Is that the SU-7503 ? If it is, where can I buy it without going bankrupt? I checked the price on that filter over here and it was about $82 8O

I have one I've never used. If shipping isn't outrageous and import laws in your country allow you could have it cheap.

Great! :)

The shipping should be too expensive, unless you pack it in a radiation shielded lead box. I've ordered car amplifiers, books, models and dvd's from the states before, so I don't think getting an air filter would be much trouble.

Just be sure to mark it as a "gift". I can pay you in advance if your bank uses the SWIFT system. YGM

Air Filter

Air Filter

I have a large K&N filter clamped onto the the same place as the standard air box. If you do this you have to secure the battery with rubber-bands/ zipties as it jumps around and crushes the bottom of the air cleaner.
