A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Looking at posts on streetfire and came across this babe. He does a whole restore of this bike and makes a racer sort of looking thing out of it...

Couldn't find it.
Always liked the 450's one of few Hondas I'd even look at.

Strange, after you click on the photos you should go to StreetFire.net. Then you should see the next / previous buttons just below the CB450 project. There are 22 photos.

Ha ha! My bad, didn't realize they were links. Anywho, if that's supposed to be a cafe racer...... um, interesting. I absolutely LOATH the "back of tank welded to seat pan" method for making the seat cowl. The worst form of assclownery out there. And what he ended up with, WTH is it actually supposed to look like? I know what it looks like, and it isn't good. Methinks a lack of vision and well-thought-out-ness is what happened here. Those little CB's can look really sweet as a cafe. Not that I'd ever buy a Honda, as I dispise them with a passion, just because.

Didn't do much for me either, there are some really nice cafe's around, this isn't one of them.
What's with the big round ass on the back?

It has an azz only a mother could love. Maybe a back rest? I was thinking how unsafe the bars would be. They don't allow them below the tree like that at a drag strip. Hard to believe they would allow it on a roundy round track.

I like things stock myself. Er, well most of the time....

Just my opinion, but it looks like a total hack job to me.

Thumbs down.

The whole cafe thing just doesn't work for me be it Honda, Suzuki, or other Japanese bike. It really only looks right on an old '50's/60's Norton, Triumph, BSA, etc.

He has made an attempt to emulate a cafe racer & that's all it is. I doubt he races it at a track, 'roundy round', or otherwise.:)
The CB's seem to be prime candidates to cafe......lots of nice looking ones on the net.

Tony.
