A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

You want some contact adhesive for your foam, comes in a spray can. I just used it tonight to stick some rubber to some aluminium for my tool tray.

I also used it to stick my two layers of foam together for the seat and to stick it to the seat pan ready for the upholsterer.

echoing what pete said. Use 3m adhesive in a can.
Spray both parts and let them get tacky then assemble. You don't need a lot, enough to cover. wear gloves

Foam to foam I use the 3m. Foam to pan I use gorilla glue, but you don't have and curves you're forcing the foam to conform to so spray glue should be just fine there.

How are you securing the leather to the seat? If it's wrapping around the bottom edge, take precautions to make sure the edge doesn't tear through the leather. If you scroll down to the top of post 4 here, you can sorta see the automotive door trim around the edge of the seat pan I used on that seat(they were out of black, haha).

Looks good, but those clip-on's can't make for a comfortable ride mounted so low. I would think if you either moved them up to right under the top triple, or above on the fork legs that you pushed through it would be much more enjoyable on rides of any real length.

That aside though the paint on the tank looks great!

Looks good! If you need the Suzuki emblems for the tank, I have 'em. PM me.

i need the side cam covers that attach to the valve cover. I have the SUZUKI emblems....just not on yet

Question 1: How the heck did you get everything so polished? it looks dang clean, any special methods, tricks, or products? your gas tank filler neck looks new. as do many other parts on your bike. by the way, i love the overall look of your bike!

Question 2: The red stripe on your wheels... im guessing you had it professionally done... if you dont mind me asking, how much did the wheels paint job run you??? both wheels getting fully painted and the stripe, by the way...

Thanks!
P.S. - LOVE your bike...

i powdercoated the parts that looked polished with a powder called "Almost Chrome". I did all the parts because polishing it all the time gets annoying. Dont have to with this stuff. I did the wheels. I painted them with black wheel paint......then i layed them flat and painted around the wheel slowly as i turned the wheel. You can paint them and put red pinstriping on them if wanted. I do all my bike mods myself. I really dedicated my winter to it. I just got a Dodge Dart sport. I am not even starting to work on it till the bike is done.

i think i will just leave the cam covers chrome unless they are pittied or rusty and ill do them like everything else if they are rough.

i got the 50 or 60 ft roll.....i cut it evenly into 4 pieces and started wrapping. then i sprayed it with black silicone spray
