A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have a non running gs450. When i got it we could roll it. Now im trying to roll it into the garage and its acting like its in gear. It barely will budge. I dont know if i accidentally did something. Help. Sorry for being a newbie

work out when you push it is the tension on the chain, if yes then yeh maybe you knocked it into gear, if not, brakes are binding?

Its in the grass and its raining. Dont worry its covered. Lol. But the brakes seem fine but it is almost making a noise like its in geae or something. I slid it like 5 feet through the grass haha

How could i get it out of gear without a power source?

It worked! Thanks paul you saved me a long day of tears! :dancing:

Next time you don't need the clutch, it does nothing in this case. Just rock it back and forth and move the shifter.

Got the throttle just need to get the choke off. Looks difficult.

It's got to be a matter of figureing out howit's supposed to work. I can't see through the grunge in the pic, is that the choke cable?

Take that brass colored plate that holds the cable off by removing the screws. they are the same screws that hold the vacuum diaphragm cover on the top of the carburetor. Once it's gone you will see how to remove the cable from the choke. I think it's similar to the throttle, not sure.

OK, that is the type where the cable slides the rod laterally to activate the choke. I think you slide the choke rod without pulling the cable and it gets slack, then it just wiggles out.

The cable is threaded through a pinhole on the manifold with a fat butt end

Do you have something other than Instagram to share your pictures?

Evidently you have to have an account to see the ones that you already posted.

Yeah it sounds like the one on the 850 or something, I just haven't messed with one in a while. Sorry I couldn't remember exactly how it comes apart.
