I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I ride my bike almost everyday and living on the coast it can get quite windy here, so i got an idea to make a headlight fairing for my gsx250, from an old open face helmet, here are the results.

Dont mind the droopy blinker its not done up.

I'm still yet to finish it with some paint and rubber edging and i would like to ad a visor on it too, but i think for half a days work it makes the bike look different and it cost me $0.

I'll try and finish it tomorrow and put a pic up.

Cheers Josh

I like your inginuity and the fact that you recycled an old helmet. The added bonus is that the headlight will survive a crash with no head injuries. Maybe you can start a cottage industry and ship worldwide?

Looks like one of the best uses I've ever seen for an open face helmet.:D

Haha thanks fellas, It was abit of a trial and error for fitment but i'll get it mounted properly today and get some better pics.

Hi,

That looks rather sylish. I like it! I declare you Ozzies are a handy lot, very inventive. :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Thanks BassCliff

Here is another pic from today, i was going to finish it off but was out of action with a Migraine.

That's fantastic. :)

I'm with Pete, When are you adding the visor?:)

what size did you use? i found them to be cheaper than buying a fairing

Nice work mate, glad you stuck with it and got it running correctly so you could muck around with things like this!

Go for it! In reality, none of them will look the same as another one so they are pretty much a one off every time. Saves money and its recycling.

This helmet had a plastic shell so i dont know what a fibreglass shell would be like to cut etc apart from making you itchy.

The worst part of the whole thing was the fumes, i had to step out of the garage afew times for a breather.

If you make one put up some pics!

Cheers Josh

Helmet was a Large, coz i have a big head lol

Now what type of visor do you think would go with this? I want it to cover the gauges atleast and provide some kind of wind defence for me.

I could stick with the theme and use a full face helmet visor

I actually think the visor would look great covering the instruments! :)
