A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey everyone,

I currently am rebuilding a 1978 GS750. Is the 1977 GS750 E interchangeable? Id like to be able to use what ever is the better part between the two. I just want to know from others experiences if the two are pretty close in identity. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought a 78 GS750 recently and have been looking up parts quite a bit. I didn't know they made an E model in '77. The parts fiches I've seen don't show it.

If you look at a parts fiche, 77-79 GS750's are grouped together with only a couple differences between the models. Boulevard Suzuki's is here: http://www.boulevardsuzuki.com/fich...y=Motorcycles&make=Suzuki&year=1978&fveh=2133

A couple of the categories have different parts, but for the most part they match up.

Most of the engine parts are consistent, but the carb settings for 1977 differ slightly from those in 1978-79. Not sure if the carb bodies themselves are different.

Also, the 1978-79 models had mag wheels and dual-disc front brakes. I think the 1979 tank might come with a sending unit and fuel gauge, but that might not be until 1980.

Thanks for the reply,

someone posted an ad on Kijiji and listed it as a 77 GS750E, Ive come to learn that people dont post the most accurate info, as I found an exact bike as mine (78 GS750) and in my home town on Kijiji and it was posted as an 84!!! WTF!!! lol

Im in middle of doing a custom rebuild and looking for a parts bike. Ill just keep looking for my model.

Thanks man
