A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

hey everyone, i got the dynojet stage 3 kit for the 1980 suzuki gs 750 and i got the vaccum slides out but it says to replace the jet needle with the one provided and i cant seem to figure out how the needle comes out, it looks like theres a little clamp down in there but thats all i see. any ideas??

There's a circlip at the bottom of the inside of the vacuum slide. Use a small set of needle nose pliers to get it out. Requires a bit of patience.

As Paul said get a pair of long needle nose pliers and get those puppies out. The first time is the hardest. After time it will be no problem.

Get a set of the C-clip pliers from the local hardware store that has changeable arms on it for straight or angled fingers.......cost around $10!

Did they work? I've never had luck with those. The needle nose pliers is the way to go.

Yes......they had 2 different kinds at the ACE hardware near my work. One was a basic set and the other was a Professional set that was heavier duty. I first purchased the cheaper one that was $6.49, then took it back for the more expensive one, $10.79. The changeable arms makes it very versatile for many different applications. The professional one had removable tips to change out while the general, cheaper, one just had the complete arms to change out. They could be set up for spreading a clip OR compressing a clip...........:)

Ive tried the actual toool myself with no luck.

I bought first at ACE hardware then advanced auto here in CO.

Neither had "fingers" long enough to reach the clip. AND they were too bulky to fit inside the slide.

I ended up buying a small set of needle nose, grind the tip down a bit so they fit in the holes of the circlip, and presto!

Be carefulll the clip doesnt come spring off your needle nose when you get it loose from the slide...... it'll ruin your day. Luckly not from experiance, but i can see it happening:eek:
