Hi, this weekend after extencive bondo/body work, I fabbed out the emblems, and made a spot for my new "flush" rear brake light. Color looks awesome it looks black then when in light you can see a deep blue with some blue flake. Anywho monday I sprayed the stuff(my 1st time) and the clear coat ran, yesterday morning I sanded the runs out, cleaned the surface with a surface cleaner with a shop towel, then layed on the clear. Well there must've been some lint on the shop towel and there is quite a few little tiny bumps where it looks like the clear just layed over the lint. So I looked up on the net and found out I can wetsand everything down with 1500 grit paper and then using meguires swirl remover and a buff pad, smooth out the surface and make the clear perfect. Well I tried this on one of my side covors and the finish isn't as good as I expected. You can see the stratches from wet sanding if you look at it close but it did smooth out the bumps, but it isn't as glossy as when I started, even after trying meguires yellow finish wax.... What would you guys do?? I'll get pics of her when finished.thanks-darren
