A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey I just converted my GS1150, to LED stop and tail lights, I should of took some pictures of the process it didnt take to long, basicly I took out my rear light unit choped out the bulb holders with my dremal, and wired three led lights, from walmart, they are 2 led bulb red marker
(VERY BRIGHT) $6.99 canadian each.
The center is the tail light and brake is on either side, I mounted them, on a peice of 1/8 Aluminum and then attached to the rear of the original light unit with self taping screws
soldered all connections and heatshrinked the joints
Ive got enough room to run signals in the rear light as well
Ill take some pictures

TISS cool :)

...so you're going to disassemble it all and start over, just so we can see the whole process ... right?

Sounds like a nice mod! Will look forward to seeing the pics!

I put the turn signals on my 1150 in the tail light with just regular bulbs...I had problems passing NY state inspection like that..It passed after much discussion.

heres a animation of it working

that's prety cool.

I bet you could win the prize for most annoying avatar if you used that animation....

I like that the lights are so hyperactive and jerky!! That'll get their attention! :-)

I added this to the back of my Valk and my wifes V Star. Best $100 I ever spent. Doubles your lighting with absolutely no modifications what so ever.

Not affiliated blah blah blah just a happy customer.

2 small rings of LEDS go into your turn signal housing and get wired into the brake and turn signals. When your lights come on the LEDS come on in your turn signal houseing to act as red rear running lights. When you applly the brakes they brighten just as a dual element bulb would. When you turn on a turn signal that side goes out as the turn signal bulb lights.
