Looks good! The fairing painted up really nicely.

Where'd you find the plastic fender? It looks really good, not to mention saves a bit of unsprung weight. Is there a build in fork brace in it? If there isn't I suggest you remove the one from the stock fender and add it to the new one. Can't hurt at all.

no its ll plastic no brace...i found the fender at the bike shop i work at...it was the only one they had..i dont know anything about it

Look into adding a fork brace. Either an aftermarket one, if you can find / afford one, or gutting the one from the stock fender. I know it can be done, and your forks will handle better, being tied together down there.

well i do belive i need one...my bike has started its stupid wobble again.....anyone have a pic of anything on said stock brace?

Nice looking cafe

I really like the long seat and tail, it pulls the bike together

If you're wobbling, you have some problem greater than a missing brace

i found an orginal gpz headlight fairing...they want $20 for it...its in useable condition..

anyone else ever converter that to work on a gs? its also the big square light

This was on my bike when I bought it.

it does it about 70 if im in a hard corner or hit a bump just right...its just a loose feeling...it didnt do it before i put the fairing on it

I don't have a pic of the stock fork brace, but if you take the stock fender, and flip it upside down. Have a look in the middle of the fender you should see some additional bracing, that goes from the bolt holes, up around the fender to the bolt holes on the other side. If you are careful you should be able to remove this. I know I have seen it done with a smaller GS450 fender.

Depending on the time frame you have in mind for the gsxr swap, it may benefit you to upgrade the fork springs. It's cheap, only about 60 bucks, and easy to do.

no its all stock, i plan on doing the gsxr 1100 conversion

The problem you describe can be caused by a too soft or unbalanced (front/rear) suspension set up

This can be worsened by adding weight to the front end. Try adding some air pressure to the forks and see what happens

added a fork brace from my old fender...surely that 2 or 3 pounds wouldnt make a difference...is more psi a lil better for cornering? i do drag pegs and shoes on the ol 850 at times

havint tested with the brace...i may tommorow a bit and post results

edit i drilled out the rivets...just a tap and small bit, then to a bigger bit and the brace came right out

Part of the problem might be the lack of tread on your rear tire, too..that baby looks pretty bald to me. :-\\\ New tires will make a huge difference..then dial in the suspension. Bike looks real nice, btw.
