    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

    Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

    So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Thats me and I'm here to try and make things right with anyone who got burned in that fiasco. I apologize to all but I've had about a year where I had little to no internet access, no computer access, no ebay or paypal access and very little access to anything at all. FYI any money sent to me via paypal is still in that account and if you filed a dispute you got a refund when my lack of response timed out, at least thats my understanding.

Admin, I expect this account to be banned too but I hope you'll leave this message up for a little while or append the gist of it to my deadbeat alert.

If I owe you money and/or o-rings please contact me at macmatic@gmail.com for a refund and/or your o-rings. If you would like a set of o-rings (previous orders only! I'm not selling ANY) please be sure to mention your year and model of GS amidst the flames.

Billy Ricks, I hope you got your second set, the first ones did come back here eventually.

Finally I apologize to anyone who had stress or more importantly lost riding time over this.

Never got any of them Dan. It's been so long I don't no if I got a refund through Paypal or not, I guess I could research it but it doesn't matter at this point.

Hopefully things are better for you and you're allowed to stick around.

Kudos to you for having the "nads" to come back, apologize, and try to make things right with the people you wronged!

Good luck with it! If you set things straight with everybody (as you seem to be trying to do) I suspect there will be plenty of forgiveness to come back your way. I remember your screen name, but don't remember if I was even aware that "stuff" had happened. I'll echo Billy's remarks that I hope things are going better for you and continue to do so.

Again, thanks for putting yourself out there and being willing to try and dig yourself out of the hole and back into the good graces of the GSR.

Thanks for the words of support guys.... it was never my intention to leave anyone hanging in the first place so I figure the least I can do is try and track people down. Fortunately I've got emails of all the old paypal transactions at least so it hasn't been too hard to contact people...and I've got an asbestos monitor cozy now so I'm doing ok with the replies!

I'd love to stick around and better yet get Macmatic back but we'll have to see how that does.

Billy, yep I've still got the bike. Going over the forks, carbs and changing the chain now since it developed a leaky seal and sat for a bit. I've got some plans for that bike and another project thats been hanging around but I'll get into those once I'm off the "ship" list.... (Oh yeah, check your PM)

Its good to be back, I hope I can stay!

Well, I have no complaint. I received my O-rings, and the extra bolts. Everything came in good time and ready for installation....and then I misplaced the package. :oops:


They are still around somewhere, and I will find them, but meanwhile the Bandit is getting some road time....just over 1000 miles last week. :-D:-D

Anyone who stands up and admits fault, and then makes things right for all concerned I believe deserves another chance.

Thanks for all the support guys, it really means a lot to me! And thanks most of all to Frank for un-banning this account and for keeping the TGSR going.

Its great to be back and I'm looking forward to helping out where I can and learning something new with every login.

Thank YOU for getting me involved in this site by dropping that untitled wreck of an GS750ES off in my driveway years ago. I wonder what Tim would think if he saw it now?

North? You mean to visit or when am I getting out of the dirty South? I'm planning a run up there in the Fall around turkey time to see family and such and there should definitely be an overnight Chez Harding. As for moving.... I might try out Athens, GA in the not too distant future but I'm really kind of longing for the Portland, OR area.

I'll give you a call soon and we can catch up. Good to hear from ya and I'm glad you're still on the GS. Is the other one for the Mrs?

Welcome back Mac, I am one of the "New Kids On The Block" so I don't know anything about what happend in the past, but I agree with the others (and Frank) making things right goes a long way in my book.

By the way.............I'm in McDonough and I see your in Norcross....You ever go up towards Helen and Suches, or the "Dragon" in Deals Gap N.C. ???
 
Got any O rings that will fit my 425? I can send you dimensions if you need em, ID, OD and dia., as long as you can use in.
