    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Okay - so I'm tearing down my carbs again for a complete cleaning...again. This goes back to my performance and gas mileage issue (25 miles per gallon), and just checked my main and pilot jet sizes:

Main = 110, Pilot = 2.5

I looked everywhere in my Clymer manual, and as far as I can tell, jet sizes are not specified. Does anyone know what sizes are stock? The bike is completely stock (for now:-D). Bike is the 1981 GS650GL and Carbs are Mikuni BS32SS. Appreciate any assistance...

Thanks, Steve. Go figure - we must have been typing at the same time (there's 9 minutes between postings). I had my post open for awhile when checking sizes.

Anyway, looks like I have the correct sizes, so there goes the quick-fix:(. The pilot jets look very new, but my main jets do not look very good inside. Maybe another deep-cleaning in Berryman's will correct the problem...

How long did you dip the first time? I have found better results when dipping basically for 24 hours.

I will split the rack of carbs and strip the first one down to get it into the dip. The next night, I will take it out, rinse it off, then use the carb spray and compressed air on it. When that is done, I will dip the second carb, which I have already stripped down, and continue at this one-a-day pace until they are all done. Cleans the carbs very thoroughly, have not had any carbs get discolored yet.

Berryman's Dip

Last time I deep-cleaned, I only dipped each carb/comonents for 25 minutes each. While they may have appeared clean, there are obviously passages and areas not visible, so I guess visual doesn't really mean the carbs are actually clean.

I will do it again, and this time follow your process. Thanks for the response and help, Steve.
