Was 52 degrees at the time and predicted high of 60, wasnt suppose to rain untill afternoon.

Rode to meet some guys (non-riders) for breakfast, intending to go for 100 mile ride after that.

And started to sprinkle while I was there, and was raining when I went to leave. Two guys offered to give me ride home (no, cant do that). So, I put on rain gear thinking I'll just head home. Naw, got rain gear on, bike gonna get grimey anyway, might as well go for ride. And I have these "diesel mitts" that I pick up from a gas station, ... you know, the thin plastic mitts that some gas stations have at the diesel pumps. So. I put those on over my gloves. And went for 45 mile ride, raining most of the way.

Worked fairly well

Were kinda small, any thicker glove and I would not have gotten them on. And they did hold up to the wind (mostly behind fairing).

Maybe would have worked better to put gloves in the mitt first, then put hands in gloves.

Actaully would be better to get some real rain mitts.

i've used latex gloves inside my gloves before.. they acctually help cut down the wind, too if you have'em on the outside!

I was out and about town today with the wife, so no bike ride for me. but it was just as miserable weather wise here. i've got brand new still in the bag one piece tourmaster rainsuit i still have to try out.. i figure it's just a matter of time...

Diesel mitts. Not a bad idea, and easy to get on the go!

Earlier this year I rode about 120 miles to an event, stayed overnight, and knew that I'd be riding back in the rain.

I went to Target and bought the largest dishwashing gloves I could find. Put 'em over my leather gloves. It was a wee bit tight but the grip was good and my hands were dry and not orange when I got home
