I have been looking for a manual for my 1982 Suzuki GS1100ES, with no results. I believe that some of the GS1100's were a shaft drive, mine is a chain drive. I dont know if this is why I can find manuals for other models but not mine.
I believe that I have tight valves on one cylinder, or a burnt valve, as it doesnt have near the vacuum the other three cylinders have. i was using a borrowed nanomometer, and it was not pulling any mercury on that cylinder. I used a regular vacuum guage and the vacuum was not steady.
If it has a burnt valve, is this old bike worth repairing? 50k miles, still looks ok, whine in 5th gear, timing chain noises? and leaky fork seals.
I dont know much about these bikes, but from what I gather they were pretty cool in their day.
