A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Merry Xmas to me....

I think what I like best is the non-stock color scheme. I get tired of seeing the same old thing on certain models of bikes. This is a nice change.

Thanks Angel. I got alot of my inspiration from another member who did his own rattlecan job in black with white stripes.

Very Nice!!....you did a great job. \\:D/

Thanks beby. I have yet to see it outside on a bright sunny day but I think it'll look even better then.

Looks great! I just picked up a '78 GS750 myself... identical to your pre-work pictures. Looking to do some modifications also, but doing some research and questioning prior to spending any $. Just wondering, how do the new handlebars feel with the standard foot position? What is the rise and sweep? Thanks,
-d

Thanks! I've been trying to squeek in some neighborhood riding to rebreak her in, so to speak. So far I like the bars, but I don't have much time on them. Tarbash has the same bars, that's where I first saw them so he may give some feedback. I think a lot of guys have them since they're standard clubman bars off ebay. I like them in the little riding I've done but I'm only going to use this bike around town. Don't know how they'd be on a longer ride yet.
Wow, that is a nice paint job. Seriously nice.
Thanks. You guys definitely inspired me. I've got a little ways to go yet to get her completed but I'm getting there. Too bad winter set in here in DC today.

Looks great! Not only the color, but the Daytona-like striping.
Thanks geezer, hard to go wrong with those colors right?

Simply amazing. How many compliments have you gotten in person?
I wish I could take all the credit.:-D I've got a short list to finalize before I get her on the road including some carb fine tuning and valve adjust. Hope to ride her a lot more in the Spring. We'll see how it goes eh?

I really love that color and stripes....niiiice...that caliper paint though IMHO needs to go...clashes with that beautiful paint job.

Is that color called "Black Cherry"? I really like that color that changes from black to red, and the stipes are great.

Your bike is spectacular!
Thanks. I think you were the very first fellow GS'r I talked to back in the spring before I found this site!
Excellent!! \\:d/
Thanks...wish it would warm up so I could continue my short list to finish it off.

Thanks Sasquatch..There's a couple things I would do over but I've just got so much time into overhaulin' those calipers. I'm kinda done w/em for now and have to finish the last few things on my list before I go back. The gas cap came out a little more gold, I was hoping for more of a titanium that would more closely match my custom banjo bolts.

Yeah, exactly! Black Cherry is what I was going for but I'm not sure what the exact color is I chose. I could find out easy enough if you need it. Thanks for the compliments.
