DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Wondering if anyone here has replaced their stock instrument kit with minis? I am thinking about ordering a mini speedo and tach from MikesXS ... I am hoping someone has been down this road and could let me know if it was a simple mod. I am by no means mechanically gifted ... so hoping somone can assure me that it's simple project to undertake.

1982 gs450 cafe project.

Regards,
dubs

I'm running a vapor on my '83 GS750S and it works just great.... if you need help with the install... let me know. Did you not build your little cafe bike... if so it appears that you are quite mechanically inclined. Where did you get that tail/seat section... I've been looking for one just like it.

Setting up my vapor at the moment, out of curiousity what did you set the PPR to (counts the rpm depending on how many cylinder)

mine is fine up top but doesnt come up with anything at idle, even on the number readout for rpm and same with the bar on main screen...rpm counter just gives me ---- until i give it revs...

go figure???

but +1 on getting a vapor, i got the roadbike dash surround too...

Katguy ... I did do all the work on the cafe ... but without the forum I would be sunk :)

I searched for quite awhile until I found a fiberglass seat that fit the look i was going for ... I ended up finding a guy locally who made a mold. I'll try and track down his contact information and ask if he's interested in making more. Send me a PM with the dimensions you're looking for; pictures are helpful as well.

I replaced my stock cluster with a mini speedo and tach from Mikesxs. I was going to get the speedo with all the indicator lights but then figured after riding with nothing at all that I could fare without them just fine and save the couple of bucks.

Anyways, I really like them.
