    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Muniki carb leak at Tee

I've cleaned, dipped, and rebuilt my carbs.
I replaced the orings with Rob barrs kits.
Finally after many false starts I got the carbs in sync. (Thanks Paul and Todd)

I now have a leak at the fuel line tee o-rings between the 2 and 3 carb.
These are not replaceable. Is anyone aware of a sealant or something I could use to stop this leak?

I have sealed them with a few wraps of Teflon tape.

Just be careful to wrap so that no pieces are likely to break off and plug your jets. :o

I used teflon tape as well and it worked. You can buy a replacement tee that uses replaceable o rings as well, but the tape will get you on the road!

I checked Bikebandit and Mr Motorcycle with no luck. Any idea where I could get the Tee with orings. I am reassembling the bike and hope to fix this leak right and once.

I seem to recall seeing them at Z-1 Enterprises. The one they had was brass (I think) and was listed for a Kawasaki but I'm almost sure it's the same thing.
 
Auto Zone and the like sell T's but they are for winshield wiper lines, they look to be about the same size, made out of plastic, would this work???

Actually, I'm surprised it's not listed in the Suzuki category too. Jeff should know it will fit. Maybe you should call and ask first.

If you want to pay a premium for a brass tee, you want to try www.motorcyclecarbs.com Alas, their link appears to be broken at the moment.

That T looks identical to the 550 part but it looks pretty narrow for the larger GS bikes where the carb spacing is wider. Hope it works but no guarantee.
 
Not sure how useful this will be to you but I did the carbs on my 850 over a period of a couple of weeks. The fuel T dried out evidently and fuel just poured out when I tried to prime them. After a while (few hours), the rubber swells back up again and it sealed itself. No problems from that day to this (with the T leaking anyway).

Yes, that's certainly worth mentioning. I've had slight leaks a couple of times but it resolves itself, as you say, in just a short while.
