    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Here is a picture of my 89 Ninja ZX-10 that i am turning into a sport touring bike. The gs cafe project will not start until i finish this project.

Looking forward to the GS progress :)

In a rush but will come back later and read properly....

Ok, looks like that 450 is in reasonable shape actually, so once you get your Kwaka done it should be a nice little project :)

definitely!! Thanks! Ninja doesnt have much left. The 2 worst thigns left are cleaning and painting the motor, finishing up the plastics, and running this crazzy a$$ wiring harness. haha

Hmmm... pick the most hated part... cleaning/painting the motor or running the harness! The harness was probably the most painful part of my 450 rebuild...

i would have to say the engine b/c it is one dirrty azz motor. Kid laid the bike down going 25mph on a dirt stone road and its been caked on for years.

Yeah ok, you win :p

I'm currently dealing with about 60 years of grime on a little Ducati Cucciolo, but it's a tiny 50cc engine... haha

I have a whole thread over in off topic on it (after all it ain't a GS... haha)... there's a link in my signature below...

DAMN... i know im activated... maybe not enough posts or something.

green2kgt, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

carbs were sonic cleaned to perfection and the battery was replaced. Along with a few rubber straps that were missing that held in the battery and tool kit. Runs like a champ!! Drip a tiny bit of oil so im going to clean the bottom and see where. Most likely a side cover gasket. It was nice to ride for a bit the past few days! She is now a $1400 bike!! If i keep it ill have the valves checked over winter.

Nice work! She's looking pretty good there actually, might wanna cable tie that bit of the harness dangling rather close to the valve cover beside the horn there though.

Hopefully the drip should be nice and easy to solve...

Oh, and you should in theory have access to off topic now too although the Ducati's been sitting idle for the moment due to lack of time and funds... hopefully that will change again in the coming weeks.

lol thanks! Yah i meant to clean up those wires the other day and forgot. It was a nice cool high 60's ride this morning!

High 60's? Oh that's right, that weird Fahrenheit stuff :p

It's wonderful weather here this week... foggy mornings and showers/rain...

When my rain suit starts falling apart (it's had lots of use this year) I'm replacing it with a two piece one... there's no quick way to get a one piece on in a hurry!
