Here's a pic of my gs650gl and how it's coming along...trying to mod it..the fenders have both been cut, we removed the turn signals and tail light, the shocks are going to be welded into a different position, the handlebars are now drag bars...View attachment 133 the guy working on it is my boyfriend

keep us posted with pics as it goes along. I have the same bike, but in blue. Taking a different direction, experimenting with a Windjammer IV in good shape I found up for $50.

Here's some interesting bike trivia: the new Ducati Monster 695 which was just introduced last month is touted as having a remarkable 73 hp. The 1981-83 GS650L, whose engine curiously enough is actually 693 cc displacement, produced engine power of ... drum roll please... 73 hp.

To be fair, the Ducati looks pretty hot and produces that power while meeting Euro III emission regs. But it goes to show our old Suzukis still have serious power for minimal $$$. And I think they look nice.
