A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So I went to a swap meet today and i came across a great find.... It's not a GS, but a GZ. Found an '01 Suzuki GZ250 with 475 miles on it.... some guy got it for his wife, she got nervous and it's been sitting in their garage ever since. It's mint, fresh oil and gas and it's wash, wax, turn the key and go.... All that and my 5'0" short sis can sit on it flat footed. Offered the guy $800 and picked it up for a grand even, and he even dropped it off at her doorstep! The smile on her face when that trailer rolled up was well worth the $$$!

GREAT score, Sam.
I did the same thing a couple years ago with a mint Honda Twinstar for my vertically challenged sister.

the gz is a pretty solid little scoot. great for shorter folk. my wife has an '08. she has decided that she doesn't really like the forward foot controls though.

we took it on vacation last summer. i loaded it (by myself) into the minivan and we used it to tool around whatever area we were staying. all i had to do was loosen the handlebars and tip them down to fit.

I'm riding a GZ right now. My older boy got it to learn and couldn't sell it for what he wanted when he moved up. Fun little bike, but really strains to go at highway speeds. I'm wishing he had listened to me and bought a 500 to learn on, that way I would be able to use it for more than errands about town. I would suspect that if your sister likes to ride she will quickly outgrow the GZ and start looking at a GS or a Vulcan. For the price though, a good little bike.

They used the GZ250's in my MSF class. Had a lot of fun puttering around on it.

Nice bike! Only thing I don't like about them is the plastic parts.
