DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi guys...new GS1100 owner needs some info on where to get parts...specifically a new speedometer cable. (It's not just the inside, the whole cable is bad) Got any info on where I can get one? I've searched the internet to death. Thanks, and thanks for the awesome site!

Pastor Paul,
Go to eBay motors and search under "Suzuki cable". Chances are you'll find a speedo cable there. Lots of GS parts are available on eBay.

What year's your bike? I can still get new speedo cables through my Suzuki dealer, and they're not all that expensive. (veteran of 3 replacement cables, but I've fixed the problem of why they kept breaking...)

Check with local dealer it may cost a few dollars more, but no shipping charges!!! or call Dennis Kirk 1-800-328-9280 there are several listings for cable depending on model

Pastor Paul where abouts in western NC are you. There is a place in Apex called 751 Motorsports located on (you guessed it) rt 751 just south of Durham that stocks parts for our 1100's I got a speedo cable from him about 2 weeks ago for less then $15 and he is a good guy to deal with but just open mon - thur. if you want more info let me know. I live in Burlington myself, but work in RTP.

Got the Cable...Hurrah!

Got the Cable...Hurrah!

Thanks so much for the info....Believe it of not, I found the cable yesterday for $15.89...The Suzuki dealer in Spartanburg has it in stock...He says it's a fluke, but I'll take my good fortune! Thanks again for your help, Paul

Good news to hear! From what you PM'd me the other day, I'd say you just need to find a more co-operative (read less lazy) Suzuki dealer to work with... I just hate to hear 'em say no to me. [-(
