    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi all. I am planning to buy carb sync kit from ebay. There are kits with few different adapter sizes.
Which size do I need for our bikes?

I agree the Morgan carb tune is great. I left the restrictors out and it worked great on my 1000. There didn't seem to be enough suction with the restrictors installed.

I have used Spyug's a number of times, and it's great, works well and easy to use, get the special screwdriver as well, it will make setting up the carbs even easier...

+1 for Carbtune. Well worth the small difference in price. I used to poo-poo the importance of carb sync, until I did it with the Carbtune. Sooooooo much smoother. On the 850G with CV carbs, you can't get to the #2 adjuster with the Motion Pro tool unless you take off the throttle cable bracket and go in at an angle through the frame tubes.

I am willing to share in the Seattle area, also have complete OEM shim kit and tool.

And I have a place to stay in Zadar, the wifes cousin has an apartment right on the water......damn.....maybe we should change out plans for this year......



I wish we were, but unfortunately not this summer, still lots to do around the new house, so we need to spend the time here.....

Plans are for next year, and this time planning to do 3 weeks down in Zadar and one week in Zagreb and surrounding area....need the coastal life, city life I can get here....LOL

and I need at least a 3 day wild boar hunt as well.....

I just bought a Morgan Carbtune but it comes with crappy plastic hose-to-thread adapters. There were metal ones you could buy instead, does anyone remember where from? Z1?
 
So does ebay. Having different lengths is always nice in case you work on a different bike. I have 4 different lengths and I like the copper ones the best but they do transmit heat.
 
Buy the adapters from Z1/ebay MotionPro, also - it's pretty easy to make your own with some copper or pvc pipe fittings, clear tubing, and some fuel or vacuum hose for near the bike where the clear tubing doesnt hold up under the heat. Automatic transmission fluid works GREAT as the fluid in the differential manometer synchronizer setup, as it is red and easy to see, thick enough to react slowly to not appear to be jumping all over the place with engine pulses, and won't harm your engine if it accidentally gets sucked in if you are way out of sync.
