For those who are interested, I've just replaced my neutral position switch on my 82 Katana 1000 with one off a 1995 RF 900. I believe that this switch is used also on GSX-R 600/750/1100's of the same vintage.
Only require a connector change and they bolt right in, with the neutral position contact in the same location (approx. 2 o' clock).
Just so someone else down the road may know if they need to replace their old broken or burned out unit.
