Well, i'm not a big fan of performance, I have noticed no change in power, but haven't tested it on the highway.
Before Pics:
4 to 1 (from last owner) modified 4 to 2, very ugly, the black paint could hardly hide the home-made low cost modification.
It started to make a strange noise from the inside, I gues something come out of place, no way to know what it was without cutting it. Sound: Wasn't bad.
After Pics:
2 Yosimura RS-3 pipes (a part of them were painted with aluminium gray to match the engine color)
4 to 2 with mods: got rid of the old and rusted pipes, welded pieces of bended tubes, in order to install the yosimura pipes.
All the exhaust were chromed.
Problems found but they were solved:
* Welded a metal extension in the rest-leg in order to avoid contact with the exhaust
* Welded 2 pieces of bended tubes to the frame (Imagen 003.jpg) in order to get the back footpegs lift some inches so the new pipes could be placed.
* 2 Triangular pieces of metal were made to get the pipes attached to the frame (the pipes were held from the bottom). A piece of threaded metal were welded to the frame.
I forgot to take a picture of rear view of the bike, It will be posted as soon as a nice day come along (remember, is Winter here )
Before Sound: Stereo sound!!! It sounds very deep, like a bigger motorcycle, I love the sound. I can also hear my bike when I go for a ride with my Harley Friend. (yes, is strange, but sometimes you can find a HOG that is friendly and doesn't criticize your bike because is not a HD one)
Total Costs of the project:
U$D 100 both Yosh Pipes (Not original Yosh pipes)
U$D 200 HandWork
U$D 50 Used Exhaust
U$D 190 Chrome
Remember, I'm in Argentina, and is impossible to import a complete new original exhaust, the customs here are very corrupt and charges you about 200% else for any piece you want to import (if they don't retain your spares and sell later to someone else)
