    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

New life to old hubs.

I picked up a set of front and rear hubs from Wazz and although they were in good condition, they are 32 years old and could look better. I picked up one of the siphon style sand blaster guns at the local import place, a bag of play sand, PVC gloves and a container from the Harry Homeowner store.









Took the rotor apart from the hub and taped up the wear surface and got ta blasting. Since my color scheme is going to be Satin Black and Copper, I also picked up a can of Hi Temp spray paint. It was on sale as well. It reads as if its a self etching paint so Ill see how well it wears.

There are a few more pictures but seems I can only post 4 per. Well for only about $25 invested in sand, blaster, gloves and bucket to hold the sand while blasting, not bad. Ill build a small cabinet soon in the shed behind my shop thats large enough to fit a swing arm frame in. But for now, this will do.

I think you're using the wrong code in Photobucket. Click on the IMG code line and Copy, Then Paste it into your post. Should come up as large photos

No I was referring to the number of photos allowed in each post. If you click on the image, it will open the large one.

sorry to hijack but i was looking at Big T's large photo and said to myself,"that looks a lot like the kind of roads where i ride" and then noticed Big T has listed Oregon as home state. i live in salem and i'm positive i have ridden that same road more than twice.
 
Can you post an "after" pic of your hubs? I just got a set of wire wheels. I was thinking of buying some stainless steel spokes and cleaning the rims up while I was at it. Are you going to polish the hubs or just clean them up?
 
All I did was sandblast them and paint. My color scheme is Copper and Black, kinda Rottweiler-ish. I still need to pick up some black oxide bolts, but I may just wire wheel the heads, prime and paint to match the hubs. Ill be doing a little in the shop today so Ill add the done deal of the hub and rotor. Im still debating on rim sizes so I havent ordered those yet.
