A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hello all,

New member here. My first real street bike that I got when I was 14 was a 81 gs450l. It had a Windjammer fairing that felt like it weighed add much as the bike. I do miss that bike.

Today I have:
2004 gsf1200s
1985 gs550e
1981 gs250t
1982 Yamaha Seca Turbo

I got a lot of work to do on the gs250t, hope there are some other owners here.

Welcome. There are a few 250 owners here. Hopefully they will chime in....
Camaro / Firebird fan?

Thanks. Yes, big fan of Firebirds and Camaros , especially 2nd gens.

I will have to get some pics of the Suzukis soon. The gs250t is a spider hotel at the moment.

Welcome Mike!

You got a nice little collection of bikes...yes, please post pics! My mother lives in the Inland Empire (I grew up in El Sereno) and the Mountains are a beautiful backdrop. I'm hinting towards taking pics with mountains in the background.

Enjoy your way around the GSR. Lots of great people here.

Welcome to GSR.
Do post pics of the GSes. Okay, the Bandit and the Seca too.

I had to look to see how "south" in southern CA. LA area I see.
(I have some familiarity with San Diego area.)

Yah, are some other GSR members in LA area.

.

Here is the 81 gs250t, it was last worked on by someone who did not know a wrench from a hammer so I have done a lot to this little guy. Next thing is a new seat cover.

Welcome to GSR

It may take some time to get into it, but you will find it a place of friends and family.....

I like your Bandit choice of bike. (Still a GS.....just has an F added)

I put a fair amount of riding on my 1st gen Bandit, and loved the bike. Superb at any speed and, contrary to what I heard from some others, it was quite comfortable for me on rides of up to 750 miles in a day.
Not so much for passengers, however.......

Now moved up to the later version, the GSX1250FA and my wife is happy about the pillion.

I Love LA

Here's the kinda background I'm talking about...on Haven Street before Baseline in the Inland Empire:

I do get out to the canyons and mountains on the bikes but I never remember to take a pic. I will have to keep it in mind on the next outing.

Nice collection! I'm sure members are curious about the car & truck.

Ed

The orange hood in the pic belongs to my 72 Firebird, 4 speed, Hotchkis suspension. I have always had a thing for Firebird and Camaros.

The truck is my 70 Chevy C10. I would always borrow it from my neighbor as a teen to drag home old bikes, when he got too old to drive it, I bought it first chance.

Nice bikes! I never owned a Seca; however, I always liked them and their style. Whereabouts in Southern California are you?

I am in the San Gabriel valley.
The XJ bikes are nice but Yamaha stopped making parts for them fairly quickly and they were $$$. Good bikes though.
