Just finished assembling all newly painted parts to the bike. Had it painted by a buddy over the winter. Tank was in pretty bad shape under all the bondo.

I tried to match the 1/8" pinstripes to the orange/red on the GS sidecover. It came out pretty good.

Added the Maier GP fairing. Took a lot of bending to align the fork brackets.

photobucket seems to be working for me. Once you click on the link go to the left of the screen and open either my suzuki or kawasaki album.

Wow man really nice job. Love the black with the red pinstripe.

Nice work, the red pin strip on black is a real classsic look. The fairing goes well and will make riding alot more comfortable.

It looks like you have a real nice wet final finish and you did not color sand?

LOOKS good man way to bring one back to life!!! love it

I wish i could paint like that but i cannot take the credit. A buddy back home did it for me. He tried to match up the color on the GS emblem sidecover. He thought it was an orange/red but it came out a little more red. It still looks good though.

He but a layer of clearcoat on it too. I have light swirls in the clear already by just handling and assembling.

I have a tank bag i take everywhere and I really don't want to put it on but i have to. It carries my tools and etc.

That turned out nice, it might not be a factory color strip but that what makes it "unique". Your buddy does nice work.

the stripes are 1/8" divide by 1/8" of black. He painted the red/orange stripes then shot the tank black. We were not sure how wide the stripes were so we guesstimated them.

I wanted it to be somewhat unique without going too crazy so that's why i went with the color of the GS on the side covers.

Boy, that sure looks great!! Definitely worth the time and effort, love the red pin-stripes, too. You better not ride past Eddie's Vintage - they're likely to chase after you and try to buy her from you!!

Black with red pinstripes.......A girl can't go out in her new little black dress without some bright red lipstick on, now can she?

I like it very much.

Hi,

Yes! It looks fantastic. Nice work.

Thank you for your indulgence,
