If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Recently painted the mid section of the engine, front tire cover, top end covers, all black, and painted the rims red. Hows it look?
Needing future ideas for painting, or whatever, might add an extended swingarm in the future.

Thanks guys

I think that works pretty well actually! Nice job!

Is that red or more of a maroon colour though? Either way I like it...

Thanks! Yea its more of a maroon color, I'm loving this bike want to add some things too it, I've seen a front filter on it not sure exactly what that't but any ideas like that would be nice.

Paint the fork lowers black and do black with red accents for the wheels.

Otherwise it's looking pretty slick.

Black on the flats of the spokes and possibly a thin black pinstripe around the rim. pick up some red on the font fender double pinstripe (?) and red on the cam caps. Black would be ok on the fork lowers if there is enough red on the fender to break it up. I made a mistake on mine and will eventually go with a black fender with double silver pinstripe.

Agreed, I would break the red on the wheels and the black on the mud guard.
Otherwise she is looking sweet.;)

Thanks! What would you guys think about adding black only to the 5 ends where it looks like a diamond on the rims, and I liked the idea about breaking out the color on the fender. Was thinking a black diamond on each end of the fender with a line connected them straight down the middle. I believe this would contrast well with the black diamonds on the rims, donts ya think? :)

Hmmm... I'm having trouble visualising that, but now the guys have said it, yeah breaking the wheels and guard up a bit would definitely look good.

I think I get what you mean about the front guard and that should look good, just can't get a visual in my head with the wheels.

Also, what paint did you use for the maroon? If you look at my avatar you'll see the maroon that's currently on my 450 and I'm thinking of staying with it for the repaint, and that maroon you have is really nice...

I wish I could give you an honest answer! I am unsure however, the maroon on the tank and side covers I got my bike like that, the red on the rims I just used a regular red (rust-oleum engine paint red), though I realy think that a true maroon on the rims would of looked better in the end

Haha oh well, worth an ask

Definitely show us what you do if/when you change it... I really like that colour...

Unless you are specificaly going for a blacked out look, I would sand the spokes back to silver and call it done, will give nice contrast.

Thanks Pete, and I took a look at my auto store for you, I believe it's a Chrysler red! It's very very close to say the least.

Also I'll have photos tomorrow, went ahead and painted the front spokes black. Turned out fairly good though the paint was being a pain in the you know what for some reason, kept wanting to run... So not the best but I'm happy with it!

Cool, thanks for that! I'll store it in the memory banks for when I go paint shopping...

Looking forward to the updated pic's :)

Here it is, noticed today there's even a few fingerprints haha, Ahh well
