A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Plastic main jets are an idea that came and went - my 29sb have them

I haven't even touched the carburetors yet. I set the timing (it was way off) and the plugs show that the bike runs pretty rich. That being said it pulls hard in every gear and all around runs great. My air filter is just about destroyed so I may go with the K&N as well but they are kinda expensive so I may just end up finding filter material and re wrapping the cage that's in there. I did pull one of the float bowls the other day just to see how dirty the inside of the carburetors where. To my surprise they are immaculately clean. One thing that struck me as odd is it had a plastic main jet in it. Is this normal?

Also forgot to mention that cleaning the front and rear calipers got rid of the shaking. I didn't even replace the seals just cleaned up the pistons and cleaned out all the old fluid

Sounds like our 750s are too far off from running the same; runs well but could run better. I was surprised too how clean the inside of my carbs were too.

Good info about cleaning your brakes hopefully mine will turn out the same way.

I asked a question and already got the answer in Bikeciffs

So, I finally got my parts in except I have to go pick them up 3hrs away in Karlstad which isn?'t too bad I just want to get them.

However, just today I was looking on Blocket and saw a GSX1100e for sale for what amounts to $600, it runs but has a knock, I am staring down the parts; better condition wheels, bigger brakes, better forks, longer travel, better rear suspension, larger wheels, maybe dump my points? I know sport bike swaps are popular but I would be very happy with what a GSX1100 has to offer my GS750, plus the rear fairing looks to be good and not have a huge chuck out of it like mine. Should suspension and ignition parts switch over easy? Anyone got any opinions?

If I did buy this I would use the parts for the GS and maybe down the road tear down the motor on the GSX and go about finding sport bike suspension etc for it and make it road worthy, but that would be quite awhile.
