A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey all, i need some new side covers for my 83 e. i have found them for sale, buke bandit, partwaeh anouse (?)and csmnl. Looks to be about $150-200 for the pair with the new rubber grommets. Does anyone have any experience with these parts? I see broekn tab side covers on ebay for $40-$100 bucks. Not sure if that is fair pricing. I need them and hate to penny pinch after the money i have spent to date. Just want to make sure the parts are legit....

Do they come painted? I suspect not.

I have no experience with "new" covers, though I have an extensive collection of used - nine and rising. A couple of notes:

Aside from the paint, '82 and '83 covers are identical.

One of our members recently pointed out what I believe to be the source of the troubles: the rider's weight on the seat puts pressure on the side cover tabs.

I bought a new pair for my 83 750E a couple of years ago. They arrived unpainted { black plastic } and I used them a bit until I found a pair that matched my paint scheme. Nothing wrong with them, they just need to be painted.

Yeah.. From my local Suzuki dealership. It was before I was a forum member and learned how and where to shop.....

Also, on Cliffs little website there is a section with lists of parts suppliers..some may or may not still be valid as times change things but its a good place for lots of options.

Sorry Chuck. I meant the OP. I was thinking he could just phone and drive over if they had what he needed....

OHHH. I dont know how far Orlando is from the Lake Mary area. Guess the guy could mapquest the exact addy for Deland. If hes close enough and has a list of things to get he could probably save a lot on shipping. Call the order in and have them call when its pick up time and go get them himself.

Jeff is in a very excellent place to do it for his needs..lucky SOB. LOL

49 miles from Orlando to Lake Mary according to Mapquest.

Just a little reason to get out for the Riding Game. I'd sure like to be somewhere other than here today...new shocks are on, and it's pouring rain. No way I'm going out to test them with the amount of wet leaves we have on the road right now.
