A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I just got a set about a week ago.. excellent service i got the o-rings in like 3 days.. and thats across a border even..

hello, thanks for the help. i sent for a kit today.i had some e-mail trouble.are these carbs hard to rebuild,i have the BS type carbs. this is my first attempt at doing this! looking foward to learning how.thanks rick

Are you the guy who's been trying to contact me? I've replied to your email question about 5 times now. My first reply (about a week ago) was rejected by your server, for some reason. I tried replying from several different domains, sort of a shotgun approach.

If all else fails, just use the Paypal link on my propaganda site, or leave me a private message here. We'll get ya fixed up.

About the carb cleanup. We have an excellent resource at this site. It is http://www.thegsresources.com/gs_carbrebuild.htm

It walks you through them step by step. With pictures even! :) I'll be rebuiding my GS850 carbs in a couple of days. It will be my first time with these carbs also. I intend to rebuild them in front of the pc, so I can referance these pages.
You can't go wrong with Robert for the O-rings.

Don't rush the job! Just make sure to get them spotless, they cannot be too clean

Only thing I would do diferent is to treat the outside of the freshly clean carbs with some sort of a sealer. The bolts are now rusting like an old tanker. The carb dip seems to remove any protectant from the carbs too. But, the important part of the carbs, the inside, works great. I went with rebuild kits to get net jets, and robert's oring kit, since the kits are incomplete in that regard. I am very happy with the results over all.
