A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Thank you, Jim.

Stock swing arm with matching 2nd gen Bandit rear rim. The 180 Pilot Road is a bit wide, so when it is done for, I'll go with a 170mm for a bit more clearance.

Here's my mildly modified very sweet Gs. For sale guys. Stock engine with pods and properly jetted carbs,v&h supersport pipe, bandit wheels with 170&120 braided lines, fork brace and not one broken tab.

Steve,

Looks really clean!

I'd be interested to know how much fiddling it took to get the Bandit wheel to fit into your stock(?) or early gsxr(?) front forks?

Have owned a couple bikes but this is still my fav. My 83 1100e with 1260 flatslides,gsxr750 swinger and front fork. Braced frame, dyna 2000 and a remote starter. I love riding this one.

Dumb new guy question. Outside of trial and error, how the hell did you guys figure out what parts off of other bikes swap on? I badly want to stick modern rolling stock on my bike. No idea where to start.

This thread is motivation though. Newer wheels and hide the stock head pipes and cans away.

This thread is a GODSEND!!

I've just acquired a 1990 GSXR 750 that I'm going to swap onto the '85 1150EF. The trial and error will happen I'm sure but, from what I've seen here and a couple other threads, it's not quite as intimidating.

WOW - I really dig those Spondon brakes with the Astralite wheels! With the RAASK pegs and Metmachex swinger - Pure Unobtainium, and yet this is all stuff which could be translated into Kawasakinese or Hondanian, perhaps even Yamaharrr.... It's beautiful, and furthermore I can certainly picture it all swapped over to the likes of my "CB900K0 Bol Bomber" or practically any other period Superbike. Heck it's all so advanced you could stick it onto a model some five years after these bikes and it would still be an upgrade. Awesomeness personified - or rather Bikonified, I should say.

-Sigh.
