A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just wondering about putting lucas oil stabilizer in the engine oil or any other oil additive brands. Will it do any harm

Hi,

I use straight diesel engine oil in my bike (Rotella T 15w40 or similar). I'm concerned that any snake oil additives would affect the clutch. Just change your oil every 2000 miles and it will be fine.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I have not checked to see what all Lucas claims for their product, but the only thing I like to add to my oil is ... MILES.

.

What Cliff said.. simply change your oil. You need NOTHING in it.

Just say "no" to mouse milk.

Agreed with the sentiments above, the best love you can give your motor is good quality, clean oil and filter, Jennifer has racked up 375K on just that, and never had more than the valve cover off.

I get slaughted for using car 20/50 engine oil in my, Gs1000s 90.000mile before a rebuild and a rebore.
so now it is a wiseco 1085 , i find out some of yer are running their bikes on bloody Diesel engine oil.
by the way im using motorcycle Castrol 10/40 semi now.

Mouse milk.

No oil additives...diesel oil has everything your engine needs.

Gotta still be careful with diesel oil, as the emission laws for diesels are increasing....
Many people here use a seperate bottle of zinc to add in the oil, because some current diesel oils don't contain enough.

I use gas additives, like marvel mystery oil and marine stabilizer.
