As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey everyone,

Recently i finished up the clutch repair and figured i may as well replace the leaky oil pan gasket underneath. Turns out the guy who previously replaced it didn't even use a gasket and it was just the gasket sealer... but i digress.

I put on the new gasket and it was still leaking, i checked the pan and the engine for any nicks or any place the leak would occur.

Would you guy recommend using TWO gaskets and gasket sealer or is that overkill?

Advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

Have you tried one OEM gasket with sealer?

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I did replace it with one Gasket and used sealer. However it still leaks.

Hi,

Could it be that your oil pan is warped? If you have checked the surfaces for defects I'm not sure what else it could be. Leaking through the bolt threads?

Thank you for you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I had some trouble with mine once. Dried threadlock on the bolts was keeping them from tightening up properly. Wire brush on my bench grinder cleaned em up and hasn't been an issue since.
