A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

After reading numerous threads pertaining to various oil leaks , I decided to tackle mine , starting with the oil pressure switch. After getting it removed , I saw the diamond shaped o-ring was in pretty sad shape. I called my local suzuki dealer and ordered a new one.
After cleaning it up real good , i used some hi-temp gasket maker in conjunction with the old o-ring and reinstalled the switch.
Went for about a 5 mile ride just to see if any leakage occured or vanished . Now upon pulling into the driveway , once i placed the kickstand down and leaned over the bike , oil came flowing from the switch. And it was alot of oil . I immediately put bike on centerstand and the leak stoppped.
This morning i went fer another little ride to get it warm and the same thing happened once i leaned the bike into the kickstand.

If anyone has any insight to what might be going on , I would love to hear it. After work today Im yanking that switch back out to have another look . Seems weird that so much oil would leak like that when its never been a problem before. except for a little oil on the side fins which im working on
taking care of.

One thing I failed to mention......

When the bike is good and warm { ridden for 10 or so miles } immediately after i shut down , you can hear a bubbling sound. almost like boiling water. This lasts for maybe 20 seconds or less. Im not quite sure if its the engine oil or if its the bevel drive oil. most noticeable on left side of bike as on sits on it.

The two screws that hold sender housing down- do they have special sealing washers on them?

Edit; have you checked flatness of housing to make sure it didn't get distorted at some point?

the 2 bolts had washers on them ,,, Perhaps I overtightend them . Im pulling it back off in a minute... whats difference between sealing washers and reg washers?

Is there a puddle of oil on top of the engine that's running off when you put the bike on the side stand?

I advise you to NOT ride the bike until you get the new seals.
