A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

well to be honest if i could find some coil over shocks that would give me the same ride height i would change it over to them i hear what your saying zooks it doesnt seem right to put that much stress on the aluminum stud but till i do i will be sticking with the struts ....... and the led turn signals are in the process thanks all for the comments positive or negative thank you:dancing:

I don't like the plastic on the lower tree, blinkers, front fender, gauge. but I'm the guy with a ton of extra stuff in the garbage after I get a bike

Wow, I think it look sick! I'd leave it the way it is. Imagine the rolled eye's of Harley fans! I'm lovin it!

"call another gser a punk just goes to show how some people aren?t open to change and have no respect for others way to go there tkent nice advise there! "

I second that! What a crabass. (Read crotchety old man)

dunno to each their own i say atleast no one is trying to make a HD clone by re-badging it to be something it isnt

I think you all took what tkent was saying out of context.....

I think he was saying " it looks like another punk build " LOOKS like it.....

I don't think he was calling you a PUNK! I agree with him on the aspect that it looks like a bad build.....but that's why you're asking for suggestions...it isn't complete yet!

It does look like a quick, cut it apart, slap something together to get the look, then overlook the aspects of a TRUE build. It HAS to be functional!!!!!

I think ALL of you need to rethink what TKENT was trying to say.....he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to talk **** about someone he doesn't know!!!!!!

just my 2 Copper Lincolns worth;)

plus.....besides ZOOK, he has been here LONGER and has WAY more posts than ANY of you responding to this....I think he's been around long enough to be respected!

ohh im pretty sure he was straight calling the OP a punk

"another PUNK with a hacksaw and no imagination"

looks to be true to me either way..........

tkent hasn't commented on what you all have to say.....so I just said my peace! he isn't a bad guy, and if nothing else, it raises the issues as to why it looks like "another PUNK with a hacksaw and no imagination" so maybe it helps address the safety issues.......

yes true some would rather see a nice resto. or atleast keeping it close to the factory spec but make it newer.

im not a fan of the cafe or bobbers i prefer a normal showroom style bike, but the streetfighters are nice

I'd get some new turn signals. Those don't really go with the bike IMO. Even if they were the same style with just shorter stalks like someone else suggested.

OK, rake the frame in order to get the bike somewhat level again, and keep a reasonable amount of suspension travel up front. Aren't turn signals kind of out of place on a bobber? Old school bobbers were so stripped down, they didn't look like they had everything needed to run. You could also go with mini-gauges to get rid of the factory pod. Koso and Drag Specialties have several options. The 2240:1 should read right off of your cable. You could cut the aircraft cap out of a sportbike tank, and weld into your tank if you wanted a racing flare.

B.F.D.-since when does the amount of POSTS correlate with having a more respectable opinion than anyone else? You'll get as much respect as you give others. I'm not trying to start a war, but constructive criticism has always prevailed Colorado.

He wasn't talking TO the guy, asking for OPINIONS; he was talking ABOUT it, in a poor attitude. That's why we felt he was being unjustly critical. This forum is unique as there are very cool, positive people here for the most part. Let's keep it that way.

I like the fact that there aren't any OCC wannabee's here on the site. The bike looks unique and good.

What's your design goal?

polish those forks, took me a couple hours to get mine to a haze finish-easy job.

not sure what direction i will be going thats why i am asking for help here i will eventually loose the gaudy turn signals believe that and the advise all you guys are giving me is welcomed i always have an open mind in all i do at least i think i do lol

I do like the look for sure.........I'm thinking I would definately go with a cat's eye ring for the headlight and some spiked grips or bar ends

I'm all for people making a bike their own. It's kind of what biking has always been about. I may not like what every individual does but it's their bike and I don't have to ride it. That said, I think what you've done looks pretty good. Details can always be worked out as time and cash allows.
