DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Old school project

Looks to be a fun project. I had brake rotors like those back in the mid '80s. Got them from Storz Performance. Dirt track stuff if I remember correctly. They were a kit that used Airheart calipers

The front is stock Suzuki gs 1000 and the rear is a Grimeca.

Oh man, can't wait.
I'll race the banana bike first with a 1260 (or so) and then pop on the big boy top end.
Putting together a 1230 for my street bike first. This thing is gonna fly!
I've blown my quota of two motors. Now I'm serious! :dancing:

Your AZZ is gonna have to grow some grips when I get the engine done!!!:twistedevil:

Got new tires coming and messed with the bars last night, I will get some pictures later.

Well here we go...worked on the bars the other day and used a set of old pull backs to get this thing kinda comfy for the track. I have short stumpy arms and these old bar relocators are the heat:D The previous owner must have dumped the bike due to the damage on the old bars and bent them back to shape. Little did he know that they where cracked and ready to break. So I replaced them with a set of K&N bars. Remember those all of you old guys? Some of the best handle bars made! I wish they still made them.

Kris, I know you know what you are doing but when faced with a tire that is old and petrified, one way to get it off without damaging the rim is to cut the tire off with a box cutter and then dremmel though the bead with a cut off disc. I've used this method a couple of times now and it saved the rims all kinds of abuse.

Keep going...

I was gonna do just that but....the tire was so hard I could not even collapse it enough to get the bead let alone get the tube out. Plus if I got to close to the rim with a dremel it would go right though it like butter...this rim is that soft. But being this soft has its advantages though it was easy to repair:dancing: The rear won`t be as bad since it got changed more regularly and there is no tube along with a larger tire surface to work with...this will be next:pray:

Black on top of aluminum rims NEVER!!! only cast aluminum then it`s OK:D

Polished shows all of the irregularities on those rims. How about a brushed look? Keep up the good work.
