A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Was going though my local tool/auto repair store http://www.kmstools.com/ and they had this there http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-s-2k-aero-spraytm-ceramic-chassis-black.html. Looks to be ideal for doing a black frame any way.May be even better than the Appliance "Epoxy" I've been using for my frames,at least I hope so at nearly 3x the price. KMS pricing makes it not worth trying to get it from the US.Anybody tried it out?
Also have Eastwoods Hot Coat powder coating guns and powders for an I can't get it here for that pricing.I'm happy I there looked today:)

I guess it must be a fairly new product from the lack of response.Think it might have gotten lost yesterday to so I'm going to bump it to;)

Hey SVSooke, looks like good stuff, might even last a long time, but I have no first hand knowledge....

As you might know, I used the POR-15 product this time around on my frame and other bits, swingarm, inner fender and so on, and I can say for a brush on product (you can spray the stuff if you have a gun) I find it to go on nice, smooths out beautifully and seems to be durable......

time will tell on how it holds up to wear and chips and uv rays and so on....

.

Yes GK I'm well aware you dipped the FZ in POR-15:D Looks like I'll guinea pig this stuff on my GPz frame this summer.I some how doubt it will be as forgiving as the appliance epoxy though:-k

Greg, I don't know if you'll need the 'nano ceramic' technology that eastwood touts. Maybe if you look for some other 2K black paint in a can you might find it for a wee bit cheaper than $25 per.

Dunno?? worth a try.

Other than that, very good idea. :)

I doubt it would be much less $$ to get regular 2K up here.It will probably be a bit over $30 a can with taxes added.Hate to think how many cans a car frame would take:D
