A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Just got some new bags and had to show off the bike. I really like these and they were less than $90.00.

Very nice Mr. jimfj. Great looking motorcycle. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

Looks great! Good quality stuff, you're ready to rock. But...

What the heck is all over your driveway?

What an awesome looking "G". I like the bags, too. Gotta get me some of those!

What an awesome looking "G".....
Echo that...jimfj, you are the "G" man !

How do you like the tank bag? Do those magnetic bags really stay put? Also, do they really NOT harm the paint?

I have a Joe Rocket magnetic bag and love it. Definitely stays put. The magnets are pretty strong. Hasn't hurt anything that I can see.

Frosty is safe.

My daughters found out that sidewalk chalk, when crushed and mixed with water makes a wonderful paste that you can spread on just about anything. You think the driveway looked bad, you should have seen our black Lab. The girls told us they made the dog into a zebra :D

The tank bag works very well. I have ridden without my windsreen at highway speed and it doesn't buge. That particular style bag has 4 magnets and doubles as a tank protector so a belt buckle wont scratch. I keep the tank waxed pretty well and I've never seen any indication that it is doing any damage.

I am very pleased with the bags. they have tons of storage and don't move around at all. They take about 3-4 minutes to install and remove from the bike. They come with everything you would need to add them to your bike and also include waterproof raincovers go on in about a minute. Another nice feature is that the saddlebags will accept the matching tail bag as well. There are 2 quick release clips on top of each bag and it just snaps on. Nothing else to hook up and the tail bag is connected in 4 places.

I called Fieldsheer to request a set of instructions, there weren't any packed with my bags and they emailed them right away. They were great and said if there was anything I needed help with just to call. Nice customer service, I wish every company I"ve dealt with was that way.

How do your new saddle bags fit to the bike? Would it be a problem if my seat is.... home made/after market? my bike doesn't have the grab bar in the back and the seats is fairly level..

Now that I'd like to see a picture of! Funny & creative kids you've got:).
Thanks to you and Craiger for the info on the bags. I've an old strap type tank bag now. It's pretty good but I will not be using it when I get the new tank on. The current tank is no showpiece so it's hard to say if it scratches. Although it does have a really nice pad, the straps themselves are the issue.

If the bags do not stay put I have no use for`em. I hate having to screw around with it when I'm riding

Saddlebags

Saddlebags

I bought a pair of "River Road" saddlebags, have no complaints with them per see BUT... What I really wanted was a pair of RECTANGULAR bags, NOT the kind whose lower ends are on a diagonal, designed for crotch-rockets with high and rising exhaust pipes.... Anyone know some good [big!] ones that are instead squared off at the bottom? Thanks.
