A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So give us the low down on the final setup and how she runs?

What did you do for a throttle and choke cables?

What were you running before and how does it compare now?

Looks like you are using the Dual K&N Pods

These are the BST36SS ?

Dynojet kit with new emulsion tubes
32.5 pilot.4th clip from top,155 dj main jet=(145 mikuni) 2.5 out on air screws.
Stock throttle cable ,you must move cable on throttle tube to the rear position /to remove slack(Works out perfect)No choke cable needed(Side pull choke)

Was running 1150 carbs prior .Now feels like a new bike,Much better low end response and mid literally feels like I gained 10 hp Awsome!!1150 just felt flat as compared to gsxr carbs.Highly recommend this mod!
And yes dual kn pods

So what DJ kit did you use 3166 needles/emulsion tubes?

What main jet and needle were you running before on the 1150 carbs?

Your engine is stock (other than the pods/pipe)?

yes 3166
kn jet kit# 81-9056 in 1150 carbs 137.5 mains
yes stock

Any idea how many miles were on your BST36SS carbs? How did the needles and emulsion tubes look?
I'm actually working on a few tricks to improve the longevity of those parts.

The black slides are made of ceramic (very hard and abrasive) and it wears the needles and slide guides. Once loose it also beats the emulsion tubes up.

Thanks you have saved me a bunch on jets. Since you went from 137.5 up to 155 DJ I'm figuring I need to step up my 147.5 Mikuni to 165 Mikuni (155/137.5*147.5)=166
