A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Well my 250 is looking abit tatty at the moment and is giving me abit of grief with carb related issues. So i had abit of a play this morning on the comp with a new paint idea. I love some of the designs on here and used them in this one. Its nothing fancy just a basic design but i think it looks 100% better than the original paint job in its current state.

If the current paint wasn't so bad i would keep it how it is, but i still have over a year left on this bike so i want it to look good during that time and it will also help with selling it on in the future. I may of talked the Girlfriend into getting her licence, so if she does she will get the 250.

I have removed the gear rack as it was bent and want to replace it with a chrome one with round bars instead of black square tube. But i should be able to make one or find one i can modify to fit.

My money will be going into getting the bike running well first before i go down the paint road. Being self employed does not help though.

So what do you think?

Thanks, I would LOVE to go wire wheels but i dont know if the hassle is worth it.

Looks good. You kept it "Of the period". Not sure about the wire wheels though. I think the mags look better - IMO for whatever that's worth.

Yeah its abit of a hassle swapping the wheels over, and i would have to find a good set first. So i will stick with the current wheels.

I've started priming a front mud guard i have spare but am unsure of what base coat to use. Do i spray the whole guard red and put the white over that or spray it white and put red over it?

That'd look good in a blue . Then again all my bikes have been blue . Have fun .

Cheers , Simon . :)

It does look good in blue, that is my second choice, Similar blue to this one.

Always loved Red.... I did a VFR Interceptor red .... A small fairng Red and I always loved thos chin scoops they had.. Same color

With one exception of course . Didn't I mention that ?
She is a pretty lil thing you'll have to agree . So is the Suzuki .

Cheers , Simon . :o

Actually now someone mentioned blue... yeah baby, I'm a blue boy from way back! I'm with you Simon :D

Growing up a guy 'round the corner had an electric blue HK Monaro that I used to drool over. I want my 450 the same colour with pearl white stripes if I can find it and have the capability to paint it...

You mean like this? I'm gonna be off the bike for a little bit with a foot injury. So i've started sanding a spare mud guard i have to prepare it for some paint, i'm undecided on what colour to paint it now!

Hey Woodsy ask my wife how many colours schemes she heard before I decided on straight red.;)

I have also thought about spraying it straight silver with red Suzuki stickers on the Tank, but alot of suzukis have that.
